CENODEATH Online Appointment 2026: Fees (₱210–₱420) & How to Request

A CENODEATH is the PSA certification issued after searching the PSA’s death records — the death-records counterpart to the CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage Record). A death certificate documents one specific registered death; a CENODEATH reports the result of the PSA’s own search against its death records. Like the CENOMAR, it sits in the ₱210 fee tier at CRS outlets.

2026 update: Appointments are mandatory at all CRS outlets since 23 March 2026 (PSA Advisory 26CRS01-0546) — including for National ID holders. Book free at appointment.psa.gov.ph; walk-ins without a booking are turned away. Your slip is non-transferable and must bear your name as on your valid ID.

CENODEATH vs Death Certificate: What’s the Difference?

A death certificate is the civil registry record of one person’s death — it proves that a specific death was registered, with the name, date, and place of death. A CENODEATH is a different document: it is the certification the PSA issues based on its search of the death records. Request the one your receiving agency asks for — they serve different purposes. Our CENOMAR vs CEMAR guide explains the equivalent distinction on the marriage side.

Who Needs a CENODEATH?

A CENODEATH is typically requested in estate settlement, insurance, or benefits matters where the requesting party needs the PSA’s own certification regarding its death records. Because requirements vary, always confirm with the receiving agency whether it needs a death certificate, a CENODEATH, or both before you apply.

CENODEATH FAQs

What is a CENODEATH and how is it different from a death certificate?

A death certificate is the civil registry record of one specific registered death. A CENODEATH is the certification the PSA issues based on its search of the death records — the death-records counterpart to the CENOMAR. They are different documents; request the one your receiving agency asks for.

How much is a CENODEATH in 2026?

₱210 per copy at CRS outlets (with appointment), ₱420 per copy via PSAHelpline.ph with home delivery, ₱345 for the digital E-Certificate, or ₱185 via Viewable Online (+ ₱80 DocPrint at the outlet).

Do I need an appointment to request a CENODEATH at a PSA outlet?

Yes. Since 23 March 2026, all CRS outlets require an online appointment booked at appointment.psa.gov.ph (PSA Advisory 26CRS01-0546). Walk-ins are turned away. Booking is free and the slip is non-transferable.

Can I order a CENODEATH online without visiting an outlet?

Yes. Order through PSAHelpline.ph for door-to-door delivery (₱420), get the digital E-Certificate (₱345) if the recipient accepts digital copies, or use Viewable Online (₱185) and print at any CRS outlet with no appointment (+ ₱80 DocPrint).

CENODEATH vs death certificate — which one do I need?

They serve different purposes: the death certificate documents a specific registered death, while the CENODEATH certifies the result of the PSA’s search of its death records. Confirm with the receiving agency which document it requires — some matters need one, some need both.

Can I get a CENODEATH for someone else?

Appointment slips are non-transferable and must bear the requester’s name, exactly matching the valid ID presented at the outlet. If you are requesting on another person’s behalf, confirm the outlet’s representative requirements in advance.
